3. SpiritWear: It's time to clean out those closets and order some new items to show Cougar support. Check out this website: https://kensington-pta.square.site/
We are also doing a hoodie fundraiser on CustomInk. The hoodies need to be ordered by March 1st and will be delivered in mid-March. https://www.customink.com/fundraising/hoodies-2024?utm_campaign=desktop-post-launch-v3&utm_content=hoodies-2024&utm_medium=social&utm_source=copy-link
4. Get to know your Hilltop Parent Groups: Thanks to KEF for hosting a wonderful Parent Group Open House a few weeks ago. To anyone who couldn't make it but would like to know more, take a minute to browse this slide presentation.
The ways we get together as families to support our kids, our school, and each other are many and growing and include KEF (Kensington Educational Foundation), The Auxiliary (formerly Dads' Club), AAPAC (African American Parent Advisory Council), SSC (School Site Council), Rainbow Family Alliance (supporting LGBTQIA+ families and kids), SOAR-Kensington (supporting kids and families with neurodiversity, learning differences, mental health conditions, and/or other disabilities), and the PTA. Getting involved in any of these groups is a great way to find community! Details about some of our larger parent groups - who they are, what they do, and the many ways to join, both big and small - are in the presentation.
5. PTA Board Positions: Please consider joining the PTA board. Go to the current board members page to see what positions are open.
6. KEF Read-a-thon: Our annual fundraiser is coming up from March 1-15! Students read, play, and win prizes, all while they help raise funds for the KEF programs they enjoy all year! Bookopoly materials will come home with students the week of February 26. Student pledge page URLs will be sent from 99Pledges that week as well, so keep an eye on your email. Note: In a change from past years, only names submitted for the KEF Directory last fall will automatically receive pledge page URLs. If you don't receive your child's link by February 28, you can sign up to request one at http://tinyurl.com/KEFReadathonSignUp. Thanks for your support!
