1. Saturday June 1 @ 6pm: Annual Volunteer Party. RSVP here by 5/28 We would like to show our appreciation for all your volunteer hours and hard work this year - from Carnival to yard duty, to KEF classes, to field trips and more! Please join us for tacos, live music, and merriment to celebrate a job well done! ADULTS ONLY.
2. Kensington Spirit Week June 3-7. The 6th Graders voted and chose the following days for Kensington’s school-wide School Spirit Week:
Monday 6/3- Rainbow / LGBTQ Pride /Gay Pride
Tuesday 6/4 - Pajama Day (No slippers)
Wednesday 6/5 - Different Decade Day (50s, 60s. 70s, 80s, etc)
Thursday 6/6 - Dress Like Your Friends Day (version of Twin Day with multiple participants)
Friday 6/7 - Tropical Beach Day (No swimsuits)
3. KASEP: Fall Classes begin September 9th. Also, get this: KASEP will offer 2 weeks of afterschool camp prior to KASEP classes beginning. Wow!!! Also, there are still spaces in KCC Summer Camp.
4. YEARBOOKS: It’s not too late to purchase! YEARBOOKS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED NEXT TUESDAY, JUNE 4th!!!
5. ***RESCHEDULED**** Auxiliary General Meeting: New time is Wednesday 6/5 at Zip Code East Bay (388 Colusa Ave, Kensington). Business includes board nominations and wrapping up the school year. All are welcome, snacks and drinks provided.

6. The Kensington Never Stops Reading Summer Program Continues!
JOIN THE FUN THIS SUMMER! Students will receive physical copies of two reading sheets to guide their summer reading. The Kensington Never Stops Reading Chart motivates readers to read every day for 20 minutes, and the Book Bingo card celebrates diversity in children’s literature today. Our 3rd through 6th grade students are encouraged to do both! In addition to the reading sheets, students will also receive a resource list with book lists and activities by topic and age. This year, students who participate will receive one coupon for a free soft serve ice cream from Benchmark Pizzeria with any purchase. HAPPY READING!
